About Us . . .We make our home near Clay Center, Kansas on the farm that Rodney's great-grandparents homesteaded in the 1800's. Rodney began breeding Simmentals right after high school and, together, we've been in business over 27 years. Our herd consists of about 190 Spring and Fall calving
cows, using both red and black, In addition to marketing seedstock, many of our culls are fed and sold grade and yield to the packer. This has been a great tool to gauge how our cattle perform on the rail. All of our crop ground raises forages, including alfalfa and increasingly, alternative forages such as turnips and rye. Pastures are both native warm season grass and brome. We love what we do and appreciate the many friendships
we've made |
